What does the country's next tech hub look like? Ask an Alabamian. Who tells your story? Sitting in a sold-out theater in the recently remodeled BJCC complex during Hamilton's 16-show spin through Birmingham, it was hard not to think about how those lyrics apply to our city. Too often, we leave it to 'the experts' in Washington, New York or Atlanta to tell our story. By giving up our authorship, we also give up the true expertise, voice and insight of those working in this community every day. A recent report by Atlanta's Panoramic Ventures noted that in Alabama, deal activity and capital deployed both slowed over the past 18 months.
