Decliners overshadowed gainers again but two stocks soared Thursday on our Birmingham and Alabama Stock Report. Community Health Systems jumped 78 cents, or 18.8%, to close the day at $4.92 a share. The Franklin, Tennessee-based company has six locations in Alabama: Birmingham, Dothan, Enterprise, Foley, Gadsden and Huntsville. WestRock picked up a nice gain, too, jumping 6.2%. The corrugated packaging company is based in Atlanta. It is the second-largest American packaging company and has eight sites across the state, including Huntsville, Athens, Stevenson and Cullman in north Alabama, and Eutaw, Lanett, Demopolis and Montgomery in central Alabama.
