Jeanne Hagedorn Obituary Jeanne Battle Owen Hagedorn of Vestavia Hills died Wednesday, August 9, at age 90. A native of Clay County, Alabama, she was a graduate of Clay County High School and Birmingham Southern College. She spent much of her adult life in volunteer work, as she felt strongly about giving back to the community. In the winter of 1960-61 she helped to start a surplus food program in Jefferson County. That experience changed her life and started her on a lifetime of volunteering.
